For those that could not be in attendance, here are some pictures of the day. Carla looked GREAT and totally like a graduate--mostly because of the outfit, but also because she has a new walk now, which just screams "knowledge" and "experience".
We're all really proud of you, Carlo Bozzolo!
At the ceremony:
We sat in the seats closest to the sun...and to God. Props to Wil for having eyes like a hawk and spotting Carla among the 7,000 graduates. Wow.

After the ceremony:
I'll put the rest of my photos up on my Flickr account.

THis is awesome! nice work JB. At first it's like a joke, like we "really saw her" in that crowd. But we did!! It was harder for some than others though i must admit.
Dad, we missed you! we tried to capture every moment. I have a video but am too computer-illiterate to post it, so i'll show you when you get home. I also have a portion of Bill's speech where talks about how the human race spends 99.9% of their time obsessing over the .01 of the human genome that makes us all different. His speech was good, very well-written, unlike Carla's diploma. Nan was right, he would've truly won the crowd over if he had turned his silver-haired dome hairstyle into a football helmet and just sprayed a scarlet line down the middle of his head. But i think everyone would agree that the was loved in the crowd of 50k+.
Congratulations Carla! Now get to work!
Carla! Congratulations!! I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate with you. Nina was also very vexed to find out she missed it.
You did it! You really did it!
You guys are great! Both posts captured the moment very well, allowing those that couldn't be there (Dad, Alex, Dawn, Julian & Nina) enjoy a little piece of it while in the comfort of their air conditioned house.
Beh, as you were walking to get your diploma, we all felt extremely happy and proud. You did a great job managing to balance school work with work, family and friends. And of course...Rolo! No doubt that you will succeed in whatever you choose to do in the future. I agree with JB, you looked radiant!
Now, to have spotted you in a 7,000 graduate crowd is kind of unbelievable but obviously proven to be possible. The zooms don’t lye. Outstanding!
Congrats, Carla. You did it. I have no reason or right to be proud, but I have to admit I am a little. My little Carla, all growed up. *tear*
Well...I thought that if I didn~t post in this thread then it would be easier to ignore the fact that I wasn~t there for MY BABY DAUGHTER's graduation!!!!!!!! But facts don't lie, I'm not in any of the pictures, so as much as I'd like to pretend that I was just there, cooling down in the shade, the truth is, I wasn't. On the bright side, and there's always one, being so far and just having this blog as a way to stay in touch, I visited this page many times every day, just to see the most radiant and relaxed face I ever saw. Baby, you're the best!!
LOVE YOU
Dad
