Picture 1- I've stopped halfway on the bridge that separates Ecuador and Colombia, in the jungle. I'm the one with binoculars, looking at the FARC who are looking right back at me.

Picture 2- I've crossed that bridge and am now on the Colombian side, walking alongside the Deputy Director of the Anti-narcotic police in Ecuador. See me? I'm the only woman in the picture. The two gentlemen in front of me are the two commanders of the units protecting the border. THe guy on the right is Ecuadorian. The guy on the right, Colombian. It's the first time EVER that Colombia has allowed Ecuadorian security forces to cross the border (with arms). Ever.

picture 3- see the guys in the trees? FARC. At least 10 men. I'm taking that picture from a canoe as we sailed down the river. Yes, the same river that flowed beneath the bridge that we crossed above. So, as soon as i took that picture, i turned around to the driver of the boat and asked him to go back. We did..

Picture 4- On the equator! See that red line between my legs. The equator is only 15 centimeters, btw AND you weigh 2 lbs less. The center of gravity is so strong, you can balance an egg on the head of a nail. I did it, and got a certificate..

Picture 5- i'm at 14,000 ft, on top of a volcano overlooking Quito. There was such little oxygen in the air, you ran out of breath walking slowly. I was practically in heaven, touching the clouds. The city below looked so surreal, it was like a Sim City layout...
These pictures are only the beginning. I wanted to post the pictures i took today from inside the Guayaquil Max. Security Prison, the worst/largest prison in Latin America, but i haven't downloaded them yet. Plus, i didn't want to give you all nightmares. I think i have taken 4 showers already today to wash off the stink.
So much fun!
