I just want to say, on behalf of those who just heard about this, that we're very proud of Carla for her recent internship offer. Awesome job!
If you haven't heard yet, Carla was just offered an internship with one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world! WOW! I'm not putting the name of the organization here because I don't know how official things are yet; however, I'm sure Carla will be providing details soon. Let me just say that the organization is well known and important.
Besides acquiring extremely valuable research experience (while getting paid!) to help expand choices for graduate school and find a nice job, we know that Carla will use this opportunity to achieve the following:
1) A network of drooling admirers who will undoubtedly catapult her to eternal and, probably, cosmic success.
2) A cubicle (or other designated space with 5 ft. walls, a desk, and many pens).
3) God's respect. Carla, if thy effort doth please him, he shall reward thee with great pleasures of mind, imagination, courage, and paycheck.
and, finally,
4) A chance to make an impact on the World of Men.
Not bad, Carla. Not bad at all.

As her parent, I can't be more proud and excited for her. Not only that she landed this great opportunity, but she did it 100% on her own, putting all her skills and qualifications to work.
Way to go Beh!!!!
- Nan, your posting was excellent -
You earned this one, wooch...100% by yourself, based on who you are and what you accomplished. I'm also proud of how you came up with your decision to do this. I know it wasn't easy, but I knew you'd make the right one.
GOOD FOR YOU!!
LOVE
DAD
I think that your name-tag, the one that hangs outside your cubicle, should read- "The Wooch."
haha!
Congratulations! Although not impressed because you're awesome in everyway, I am proud. What a great way to get started.. plus getting paid! Other than having Alejandro Sanz as your boss, i can't see it to be any better :) nice work! And soak up every minute of this internship like a sponge.
Since I've had the pleasure to work with Carla, I can definitively say that anyone that employs her is very lucky. They're getting a caring, sharp, enthusiastic person that's going to do a killer job.
Congratulations Carla!!!
Nan, that was awesome and if the news of the internship sinking in didn't make my day, your post certainly did. I'm scared and excited, and I wish it were June 25th already so I could start this thing! And thank you everybody for saying such nice things... I feel so privileged to have been posted among all the beautiful baby updates!
Wouldn't it be so inexplicably bizarre if Alejandro Sanz turned out to actually be your boss? What's he doing there?
Yes, I'm very proud of you too, Carla! And happy that these people were able to see what an asset you'll be. Lucky them! And lucky you! I would have loved to have such a hot sh*t internship like this when I was in college...
Hold on -- can details be given yet? At least WHERE we're talking about? Before I deserted, my fair city was in the running, so I'm particularly curious.
And of course, double congrats to the Carlycarlycarlycaarrrrrrl. A.
