I'm so genuinely sad. they played hard and deserved it. I miss watching them play already.

Just gotta suck it up and get ready for the next Cup...when I'm 30. Good lord...

Well...it's really sad, but at least one of the family teams, France, is doing great...

Yes, I was not happy with the results of the game. But, it made me feel better afterwards when I German guy came up to me on the metro, shook my hand, and said "Good game." Then he proceeded to analyze the game and we concluded together than Germany should not have won. That was nice.

I agree. If Argentina had not had to substitute the goalie, then an entirely different substitute strategy would have been employed. It probably would have been more offensively minded with Messi coming in for Crespo, Aimar for Riquelme, and maybe Saviola for Tevez.

Taking away that one sub (out of three available subs) changed everything. They probably would have won it in overtime with fresh legs and the spark that Messi and Aimar can provide.

Oh well.
