OK, here's an idea: in the old days I used to get her Lancome creams and assorted things, but I stopped. For no reason. How about some serious selection of creams, makeup, things to fill up the vanity drawers?
dad, the second gift idea was the top of the line, computerized (probably) sewing machine. I think you should still look into that... i know for a fact that she absolutely despises the machine she is currently using. So, that was the other gift idea...
Oh, yeah. Sewing machine--that's a great idea. Actually, I vote for that more than the vanity table, though, Dad you would know better which one she will appreciate more.
People, I need help here...My amazing idea of getting a sewing machine for Mom doesn't look that hot anymore...I have NO idea what these machines can do, I don't know what Mom would want (IF she wants it..) Well, Carla and I failed to find a makeup vanity for Mom, and when I told her that that was what we were thinking of getting her, she didn't show much enthusiasm for it, so in a way it's good we couldn't find one... Which also means...can you people give me a GOOD idea of what to get her??
Dad, Mom mentioned in her list that she would like a headboard. She has also brought this up to me a couple of times. So, I think this would be a gift she really would like. I know one store that she likes is West Elm (www.westelm.com). Otherwise, you could check out Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Storehouse....they're all good stores. Maybe you could do a gift certificate or something.
dad got her some jazz cds and i got her the parachutes coldplay cd cause she mentioned one day that she liked them but i coudln't remember if she had any cds of them or not
