FYI- Guillaume will be leaving for France on December 22. I don't want to say not to get him anything, because i know he plans on buying (or have already bought)something for each of you...but PLEASE don't feel obligated! = As to what he would want/need, clothes are always a good thing. When it comes to his wardrobe, think of Dad- very minimal. He hasn't shopped for himself in years. He only has a "tennis wardrobe."
As the Big Present, I was thinking of a nice tennis racket or something 'special' along those lines given the fact he'll be doing a lot more travelling on 06...We could either join efforts and go all the way with something majestic, or go low key and each gets something. Any thoughts? I have NO idea how much a good set would cost, nor WHAT is a good set...
Yeah, I'm ignorant there too. Maybe we should indulge him travel-wise: like, get some hi-tech, can't-believe-you-ever-travelled-without-them bags and such. OR some travel entertainment for nights in hotels and on planes...portable DVD player or something.
Dad- a tennis racket is a good idea, i'll find out which ones are good or which ones he prefers. No worries, i'll be sly about it.
I was actually looking at portable DVD players the other day online. He had mentioned it last time we talked. The only concern i have is the battery life. When i asked Carla about it, she had told me that it was pretty pathetic how short they are, but I think it's worth it. That's a pretty big gift, but an investment i think worth making.
Ok, portable DVD player is out of the picture since he recently bought a new laptop from a friend that plays DVDs.
Alex- good idea about the headphones though. I think he'd really like those. I'm just 110% positive that he'll leave them in a hotel in Malaysia or at the airport in Caracas.
He also mentioned a watch. "Blue" from Ralph Lauren (mom, i think you got it for him last year).
Munina, Can you be a good spy and tell us what tennis racquet he might like? Be specific, get all the details!!!
The idea of the headphones is good. We rely on you for ideas...so please let us know Another trip to India, perhaps? A free membership to A. Sanz Fan Club?
As for the headphones, i was going to get them, but realized that he could probably use something else- like a new cell phone (which i forgot to list, but KNOW he needs). His old one can not only flip forwards up and down, but also BACKWARDS up and down- a feature Verizon probably didn't think the phone was capable of. So, now i'm scratching the headphones idea and searching for the cell... and maybe a sweater.

he comes home on Friday!
As for travelling gifts: there are those Bose noise-cancelling headphones that are suppossed to be the BEST for noisy plane travel...just a thought.
