Well, I think I might get him an iPod nano. The mp3 player I got him a few years ago hasn't turned out to be the greatest--definitely nothing compared to the Nano.
I think I hit the spot last year when I got Alex the sweater from Banana Republic since he wears it almost everytime i see him. So, I think i'm going to get him clothing of some sort. I'm still brainstorming.. jb, can you think of anything in particular that he needs, clothing-wise?
Clothing is a good idea. And Banana is definitely the way to go. Pretty much any of the standard stuff will do: pants, sweaters (light enough to put on top of a shirt), or collared shirts. I think he was complaining about needing pants the other day, but I might be making that up...
Mom, he doesn't often take naps on the couch, but I'm sure he'd appreciate those pillows for naps in general or for down in the basement when he's playing video games--we don't have the most comfortable setup down there.
Just an FYI for anyone stuck on what to give him: He has an Amazon wishlist (search "Alexander Lundry") with a buttload of CDs that he'd be happy to get.
Also, I looked into guitar lessons for him and found two places: one in Pentagon City and one in Laurel. If someone needs a gift to give, I can give this one up.
I like the idea of the guitar lessons. Can we steal this one from you? Let's find a quiet moment tonight when you come home so we can talk about it... Dad

Ok, change of plans. I'm not buying Alex an iPod. Instead, he'll get a watch and some warm outer wear for a winter of Danger! walking.

I saw the soft fluffy pillows from Brookstone that made me think of a good thing for his naps on the couch. What do you think, JB?
